Mixtape 2 Update!

I'm about halfway done with mixtape 2!!! It's taking a lot longer than I had thought before, because I keep going back and re-adjusting things. Technically, it's going to sound a lot better mastering-wise than R & S because it's being made on better software, but it's also taking a LOT longer to put together.

Expect the full thing sometime around the end of January, or somewhere around then. I would post a track, but I change them around so often that it wouldn't be worth it....

Thanks to everybody who came out to the first set of the year at the ultimate party! Totally one of the sickest house parties I've ever been to.

There's going to be more Ghetto Sunrise mixtape love coming later this semester. Unfortunately, I couldn't get much done on it during the summer because my computer screen was totally broken past the point of no return.

I've got a bunch of stuff lined up, however, and almost a full mixtape's worth of new material from live sets that I am going to put together.

By the way, if anyone happens to listen to Norman "Fatboy Slim" Cook's new project, The BPA, a song on their album ("Island feat. Justin Robertson") samples Grinding by Clipse. It's really, really stupid sounding. It's not even that discernible; just enough so that one may recognize it, and he cuts off one of those loud CHUNG-CH-CHUNG hits in the song. Ughhhhhh....

Firsts

Hello internet!

This is Ghetto Sunrise, a DJ duo that makes mashups from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA.
